TEHRAN – Actor Hassan Joharchi died of heart failure at Tehran’s Chamran Hospital on Friday morning. He was 48.

Joharchi had been admitted to the ICU due to liver complications, but died of heart failure, Persian media announced on Friday.

The actor was a graduate of photography from the Faculty of the Fine Arts of the University of Tehran and began his acting career with the film “Elephant in Darkness” (1989) directed by Ali Ruintan and Valiollah Rahbar.

He earned his fame mostly by starring in the TV series “In the Shelter of You” (1995) directed by Hamid Labkhaneh.
